Im Jahr 2020 durfte ich den englischsprachigen Gedichtband "Tales of Dark Matter and fireflies" der Autorin Sylvia Gaßner illustrieren. Die skizzenhaften Darstellungen sind mit schillernden Aquarellfarben coloriert und ergänzen die Poesie der Worte um bildhafte Erzählungen. Im Kontrast zu den leichten, farbigen Zeichnungen steht ein starker, schwarzer Pinselstrich - die dunkle Materie - die sich durch das gesamte Buch zieht und von den Illustrationen wie von kleinen Lichtblicken durchbrochen wird. So greifen die Illustrationen die Themen Depression und psychische Gesundheit der Texte visuell auf.

In 2020 I was able to illustrate the English-language poetry collection "Tales of Dark Matter and fireflies" by the author Sylvia Gaßner. The sketchy illustrations are colored with shimmering watercolors and complement the poetry of the words with pictorial narratives. In contrast to the light, colorful drawings is a strong, black brushstroke - the dark matter - that runs through the entire book and is broken up by the illustrations like small glimpses of light. The illustrations thus visually address the themes of depression and mental health in the texts.
